UX Writer turned Web & Content Developer
(From New York, now everywhere)
Once upon a UX Designer's talk on hiring talent, this rheorical question popped into his head: Faced with two UX candidates. -- one who came from the usual schools already employed in his company and someone from a vastly different culture, who would he choose? He chose the latter.
That was a lightbulb moment for me.
I remember that talk and my work then for a multicultural ad agency, when I wore different cultural hats every single day. Depending on a project, I would be Filipino on a Monday, Chinese on a Tuesday, Korean on a Wednesday, Indian on a Thursday and Japanese on a Friday. There were some days I also had to be Russian as well.
At the time I didn't know I was already doing UX Writing & Design...I was redesigning the agency's site design and information architecture with an art director...thinking of microsite ideas and how it worked with the main sites... giving questions for UX Researchers to do their field work. My work continues to evolve as I embark on using Web design with content and they now work hand in hand.
"I draw inspiration from many artistic films with amazing stories."
